Based in Indianapolis, we have a deep understanding of audit requirements, federal and state taxes, Indiana political subdivisions, local economies, and regulatory structure.
Principal Functions
The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing, overseeing, and assisting the staff in the preparation of various reports and / or documents associated with the preparation of any attest engagements as defined by the AICPA, corporate and individual income tax returns, and any other financial matters that arise.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following
- Knows and understands the firm’s policies and procedures
- Effectively executes audit and non-audit engagements
- Manages client projects without supervision
- Responds to client inquiries as necessary
- Prepares reports related to municipal debt and economic development as necessary
- Structures debt financing for municipal clients as necessary
Qualifications

Education and / or experience
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college in accounting, finance, or other related field. Minimum of two years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA certification, or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is required. Previous experience working in a public accounting firm is desired.
Pay is commensurate with education and experience.
